Surgutskaya GRES-1

Surgutskaya GRES-1 is located in town Surgut of Tyumen region, in the immediate vicinity of a large industrial centre where both oil- and gas supplying companies are situated, as well as electric power plants technologically interconnected between each other. The plant is included into the Integrated Power System of Ural. For the last several years, the region of location of the plant has been characterized by the high level of energy consumption increase (not less than 5% a year) that provides high demand for electric power supply offered by the above mentioned electric power plant for sale.

The main equipment of the plant includes 16 power units and startup/standby Central Heating and Power Plant, all commissioned in 1972-1983.

Main and back-up fuel is associated petroleum gas of the near Ob deposits. As emergency fuel-oil the gas-turbine oil is provided.

Surgutskaya GRES-1 does not have limits concerning power output, grid limits arise from repair schemes.

• Energy consumption for auxiliaries: 4.6%
