Troitskaya GRES is one of the most powerful basic suppliers of electric power of the South Ural. The plant is convenient-located in the industrial triangle of Yekaterinburg-Chelyabinsk-Magnitogorsk that is characterized by the permanent growth of consumption and high volatility in the conditions of network limits.

The Integrated Power system of Ural which includes Troitskaya GRES is one of the most dynamic concerning electric consumption level increase (about 4% a year). The factor mentioned increases directly demand for electric energy supply generated by the plant.

Troitskaya GRES is a large condensing power plant of general-system importance.

Main and back-up fuel is coal that makes the company independent from gas supply limits. Starting fuel is oil-fuel.
