Equipment characteristics
This section illustrates the make-up of the principal equipment of the GRES’s whose shares are held by JSC “OGK-2” and lists the installed capacities of the plants.
Pskov GRES
The main equipment of the Pskov GRES consists of two operational generating units №1 and 2. Each unit is made up of a K-215-130-1 steam condensing turbine rated at 215 MWt; a TPE-208 double casing natural circulation drum boiler designed to fire milled peat redesigned to fire natural gas under the VTI project. The boiler produces 670 ton/h of primary steam.
The installed electrical capacity of the plant as of the end of 2004 was 430 MWt.
Serov GRES
The Serov GRES is equipped with five PK-14 boilers, six PK-14-R boilers, one PK-14-2 boiler rated at 230 ton/h of steam, three К-50-90 turbines, one K-100-90M turbine, one Т-88/100-90/2.5 turbine with regulated heating off-takes and two K-100-90 turbines. Turbo-generator unit №3 was decommissioned on October 9, 1997.
The installed electrical capacity as of 2004 was 526 MWt.
1st stage 50 MWt*3 = 150 MWt
2nd stage 88 MWt*2 + 100 MWt*2 =376 MWt
The installed thermal capacity in 2004 was 220 Gcal.
Stavropol GRES
The Stavropol GRES is an open joint-stock company of RAO UES of Russia and one of the largest electric power plants in the Northern Caucasus. The plant’s installed capacity is 2400 MWt. Each of the eight generating units is made up of a TGMP-314А TKZ boiler, a К-300-240-2 KHTGZ turbine unit, aTGV-300 «Elektrotyazhmash» generator and a TDTS-400000/500/330 «Zaporozhtransformator» transformer.
Troitsk GRES
The first stage is equipped with six PK-14-2 boilers generating 220 ton/h of steam, three VT-85-90 turbines with regulated heating off-takes.
The second stage is equipped with three 300 MWt two-boiler-single-turbine units with К-300-240 KHTGZ turbines and double casing PK-39 boiler units rated at 950 ton/h of steam. The 300 MWt unit № 6 was decommissioned as part of refurbishment on October 20, 1992.
The third stage is equipped with two 500 MWt К-500-240 KHTGZ single-boiler-single-turbine units and two P-57 boiler units rated at 1650 ton/h of steam. On 01.01.92 the 500 MWt units were rated at N
installed = 485 MWt, and 300 MWt unit were rated at Ninstalled = 278 MWt.
The installed electrical capacity in 2004 was 2059 MWt.
Co-generation plant 85 MWt*3 = 255 MWt
2 stage 278 MWt*3 = 834 MWt
3 stage 485 MWt*2 = 970 MWt
The installed thermal capacity in 2004 was 315 Gcal.
